ARTEZ BOLSTERS TEAM FOLLOWING RECORD TURNOVER
February 14, 2017
Following a record turnover of just over £9 million in 2016 – up over 40 per cent from 2015’s £6.3 million – we’ve appointed five new members to our team.
Peter Hopley joins the company as group commercial director, while Mike Pickles has been appointed as commercial manager. In addition, Steve Porter has joined Artez as site manager and Juan Dominguez is the latest quantity surveyor to join the team.
Emma Hadfield has also been appointed as finance assistant to support the senior management team in its growth plans.
Mike Banton, managing director, said: “2016 has been an incredible year for us. We’ve been involved in some truly iconic developments including Stubbs Mill in Manchester and The Dock 9 project at MediaCityUK in Salford Quays, the latter of which we’re currently transforming into a stylish avant-garde restaurant and bar, The Alchemist. These projects, along with many others, have resulted in an increase in demand for our expertise and, as a result, our turnover and recruitment plans are very healthy indeed.
“As we’ve grown, ensuring we have the right team in place has become more challenging. We’re all very passionate about what we do and have exceptionally high standards. The newest team members share our enthusiasm for great design and high-quality developments, so we’re in a great position to embrace some fantastic projects, including our most recent win, Berkeley House, Wilmslow for Eventus Properties, throughout 2017.
“With more than £7 million worth of contracts secured for 2017 already, it’s set to be yet another record year for us.”
The new recruits take our current number of staff to 27.
